Gratitude and tears waiting for beloved teacher

With a semester of Zoom classes wrapping up, students and teachers are tired and spent.
Some high schoolers gathered up some remaining energy to surprise one of their favorite teachers.
The TikTok video has more than five million views.
It shows the teacher confused as to why all his students’ cameras are turned off at the beginning of class.
He thinks maybe he clicked an incorrect setting. “Is it my fault that you have your cameras off?” he asks.
“Is this a cool thing to do where no one turns their camera on?” he continues to wonder if this is some kind of prank.
But then, one of the students says, “Dr. Brown, we actually kind of wanted to do something.”
“With your cameras off?” he asks, still not understanding what is going on.
“Everybody, do you want to go ahead?” the student prompts her fellow students to turn on their camera.
That’s when the “Thank you” signs start popping up in each individual box.
Dr. Brown is left speechless with tears.
Thank you, Dr. Brown, and all the teachers who have continued to show up day after day, through Zoom, hybrid, whatever is asked of you.
